Message of the President
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
This year SPANISHAITIANCHAM will hold its 2nd annual conference in the splendid city of Madrid (Spain), kindly hosted and supported by, as well as co-organized with Grupo de Expertos para la Reconstrucción de Haití.
Our conference this year will concentrate on investment and credit guarantee, an issue that increasingly affects not only large companies but more and more micro and small enterprises. Indeed, contrary to previous phases of globalization, smaller companies are fully concerned and participating in the interlinkage of international trade, whether they export, manufacture in other markets or source raw materials abroad.
Smaller companies face greater obstacles than larger companies in entering new markets due to their more restricted financial and human resources to deal with diverging legal frameworks, language and culture barriers, lack of critical mass as well as financial means to engage in overseas ventures.
This year's seminar will look at the perspective of globalization from the viewpoint of SME representative organizations, the support that European public institutions supply as well as the solutions that guarantee institutions provide.
