Practices
Work experience:
To promote inter-exchange of students and to foster a better knowledge of the economies from both countries. SpanisHaitianCham offer students and post-graduates the possibility to expand their knowledge by means of practice work assignments as a formative period in Spanish or Haitian companies. Those practice assignments can be paid by a grant from the company concerned, but there is no employer/employee relationship between the company and the student.
How does it work?
Under the normal process, SpanisHaitianCham receive requests from students and offers from interested companies (members of SpanisHaitianCham). The department of selection follows a strict process to choose the students and offer them to the companies, which will select those best suited to them. Alternatively, if a student sends a résumé directly to a company but the company does not select the student, the company may forward the résumé to SpanisHaitianCham, who can then consider the student for other companies..
Agreement:
Once the company has chosen a student and both have agreed on the conditions, SpanisHaitianCham drafts the contract. There isn’t a direct link between the company and the student, rather two collaboration contracts are established; Company/SpanisHaitianCham and Student/SpanisHaitianCham, that are set up to create to a grant attribution which allows the student to have at his disposal financial resources while he is engaged in the assignment.
The practices or formative period could never be considered as a employer/employee relationship between the company and the student.
